Pattern: Loops on the Side Cowl

A second pattern this weekend! I had this cowl in hibernation since the summer holidays.. I just could not get the thing exactly how I wanted at first. Suddenly everything clicked and I got what I wanted. Little did I know. I recently came to know the stitch I accidentally used in this cowl!

This cowl features the camel stitch. This stitch makes a kind of ridge along your rows/rounds with the top loops of the stitches. A very fun stitch.

The cowl itself is a very light one. I like to wear it as a pretty accessory, not just for warmth. Big Man calls it a typical "arty-farty" accessory. It can be wrapped once (as shown in the picture) or twice, whichever way you want!
The pattern for this cowl is available in my Ravelry store for free!!

It is a clear written pattern in US crochet terms with a photo tutorial of the stitches used in this cowl. You'll only need about 500 meters or 550 yards of fingering weight cotton yarn, so it is a quick project!
